What is a Claude skill?
A skill is a package of instructions and tools you add to Claude, the AI assistant from Anthropic. Once it's added, Claude knows how to do this specific job, building a tailored résumé and cover letter, the same careful way every time you ask.
Do I need a paid Claude account?
No. Skills work on every Claude plan, including Free. You need "Code execution and file creation" turned on in Claude's settings, and the guide shows you where. If you'll tailor many applications a week, a paid plan gives you more room.
What do I need to get started?
A Claude account, a computer for the one-time setup at claude.ai, your current résumé, and ideally your LinkedIn profile saved as a PDF. The setup guide covers each step.
Will it invent experience to match the job?
